ELA CERTIFICATIONS
Credentials That Prove You Can Actually Do the Work.
—
ELA certifications aren't awarded for attendance. They require submitted, reviewed work — completed frameworks evaluated by a Certified Expert ERG Trainer. An ELA credential means the person holding it can actually do the job it represents.

WHY ELA CERTIFICATION IS DIFFERENT
Not a Badge for Showing Up.
A Credential for Doing the Work.
A Credential for Doing the Work.
Most professional certifications are awarded after passing a test or completing a course. ELA certifications require you to do the actual work — build the actual plans, demonstrate the actual competency — and have it reviewed by an expert.
01
Submitted work, not a theoretical case study
To earn an ELA certification, you produce real work — for example, a Leadership Charter, a Metrics Dashboard, an Oversight Excellence Rubric — and submit them for review by a Certified Expert ERG Trainer. There's no shortcut. The work either demonstrates competency or it doesn't.
02
Reviewed by a practitioner, not an algorithm
Your submitted work is reviewed by a human — a Certified Expert ERG Trainer who has done this work in real organizations. If there are gaps, you have the opportunity to discuss and resubmit. The feedback is the point, not just the credential.
03
Tied to ELA's standards
ELA certifications are built around the ERG Blueprints™ and the Oversight Excellence Rubric™ — ELA's proprietary IP, grounded in the ERG Excellence Framework™ (Align / Engage / Equip / Elevate). These aren't generic leadership credentials. They're specific to ERG practice.
04
Recognized across the ERG field
ELA is the global standard for ERG professional development. An ELA certification carries that institutional credibility — across industries, geographies and organizational sizes. It signals demonstrated ERG competence to any employer or stakeholder who knows the field.
WHICH CERTIFICATION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Three Independent Credentials.
Each for a Different Role.
Three distinct credentials, each designed for a specific role in the ERG ecosystem. You pursue the one that matches where you are and what you do. Each certification is designed as its own path. The exception is the Expert ERG Trainer program, which includes all six Blueprints—meaning candidates also earn the ERG Leader Certification as part of the process.
